This role is for a Silicon Design Engineer at AMD, focusing on the verification of a next-generation AI engine. The engineer will be involved in the research, design, and testing of electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing, utilizing knowledge of electronic theory and ASIC development processes. Responsibilities include defining architecture, logic design, system simulation, and contributing to a comprehensive verification plan. The role requires experience with various design and verification tools and methodologies, including Verilog/VHDL, System Verilog, UVM, and ASIC design tools.

What you'd actually do

  1. Working as a member of a cross geographic pre-silicon verification team to verify a next generation AI engine.
  2. Working with design, architecture team to verify micro-architecture and design across multiple platforms.
  3. Responsible for a comprehensive verification plan and drive the implementation of verification test cases from applications and other sources.
  4. Contribute to the development of multidimensional designs involving the layout of complex integrated circuits.
  5. Evaluate all aspects of the process flow from high-level designs to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use.
