Silicon Design Engineer

AMD AMD · Semiconductors · Singapore · Engineering

This role focuses on developing and maintaining CAD design flows and automation solutions for silicon design at AMD. While it involves assisting in transforming existing workflows into AI-assisted or agentic workflows, the core function is not AI/ML model development but rather engineering productivity through automation and tool support.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop, support, and maintain CAD design flows for schematic, layout, package, and physical verification
  2. Define and deliver automation solutions to improve efficiency, quality, and turnaround time for design teams
  3. Develop scripts, tools, and utilities (SKILL/Python/Tcl/Perl) for automation and workflow optimization
  4. Support and enhance EDA tools and environments, including integration of in-house and vendor solutions
  5. Assist in transforming existing engineering workflows into AI-assisted or agentic workflows, integrating intelligent automation to reduce manual effort and improve decision-making
