Site Operations Manager

This role is for a Site Operations Manager at Google, focusing on managing contract manufacturing operations for Google Cloud's data center infrastructure hardware. The manager will drive operational excellence, ensure flexible capacity, and foster strategic optionality across the CM network through cross-functional management. Responsibilities include managing cross-functional activities, evaluating business risks, improving KPIs, providing feedback to CM management, and reducing complexity between teams. The role requires significant experience in operations, supply chain, and managing cross-regional and vendor teams.

What you'd actually do

  1. Responsible for a site or region of contract manufacturing operations for Google's data center infrastructure hardware portfolio in relation to google cloud, storage, compute, machine learning, and network technology.
  2. Manage cross-functional activities between contract manufacturers, NPI, engineering, supply chain, planning, quality and production.
  3. Evaluate business risks and improve key performance indicators to enable flexible capacity for the customers needs.
  4. Provide mentoring and feedback to CM management team based on KPI and field quality feedback.
  5. Reduce complexity and improve communications between cross-functional teams and platforms by establishing key ownership and identifying role and responsibility gaps.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in a customer or client-facing role supporting supply chain systems.
  • 10 years of experience working in domestic and international environments.
  • 7 years of experience managing operations and leading cross-regional teams.

Nice to have

  • 10 years of experience in managing vendor and outsourced providers.
  • 10 years of experience in scaled and supplier operations and project management.
  • Experience to deliver results through cross-functional interaction with internal and external teams.
  • Ability to travel internationally.when needed.
  • Ability to influence cross-functionally with strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent aptitude and presentation skills with the ability to operate with flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly evolving and collaborative environment.
