This role is for a Site Reliability Engineer focusing on Oracle's Health Applications & Infrastructure, specifically within the Health and AI Database Services Team. The engineer will be responsible for building and operating large-scale, integrated cloud services in a multi-tenant cloud environment. Key responsibilities include ensuring security, resiliency, scale, and performance of mission-critical systems, troubleshooting complex issues, and partnering with development teams to improve service architecture. The role requires deep expertise in Oracle Database, Oracle Cloud, and related technologies, with a focus on highly available and scalable distributed systems.

What you'd actually do

  1. Work with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team on the shared full stack ownership of a collection of services and/or technology areas.
  2. Understand the end-to-end configuration, technical dependencies, and overall behavioral characteristics of production services.
  3. Responsible for the design and delivery of the mission critical stack, with focus on security, resiliency, scale, and performance.
  4. Authority for end-to-end performance and operability.
  5. Partner with development teams in defining and implementing improvements in service architecture.
