Site Reliability Engineer III at F5 focusing on designing, building, and managing a global, scalable, and secure edge computing platform. What you'd actually do

  1. Manage production environment by monitoring availability and alerts, promptly remediating any issues in the production environment.
  2. Design and deliver infrastructure solutions that will help build, deploy, and manage the service components of the platform.
  3. Investigate various open-source and proprietary technologies, components, libraries, tools, etc., and help build a highly available, highly scalable, and easily manageable system.
  4. Take responsibility and ownership of F5 Cloud Platform software components, delivering a complete product that meets functional, scale, performance, and manageability requirements.
  5. Write clean, efficient code in multiple languages (e.g., Python, Golang) while considering performance, scalability, maintainability, and flexibility. Develop tooling and processes to ensure that the F5 Cloud platform is highly available, scalable, and high-performing.

Skills

Required

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 5+ years of experience in an SRE/Platform Engineering/DevOps role
  • Proven experience designing, building, and managing distributed, highly available systems and network control planes
  • Strong familiarity with DevOps tools, CI/CD practices, and automation frameworks
  • Deep understanding of Linux Systems
  • Proficiency in Python or Golang development, including designing and building scalable microservices and tooling
  • Hands-on experience with DNS, Security, Virtualization, Containers, Kubernetes, and at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP)
