This is an internship (Skillbridge) opportunity for transitioning military service members at Northrop Grumman, focusing on Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE). The role involves supporting engineering teams with documentation, drawing release cycles, BOM review, and potentially hands-on testing, with oversight from senior engineers. It is not directly related to AI/ML development.

What you'd actually do

  1. Support engineering teams with the digital formatting and release of engineering documentation.
  2. Manage the drawing release cycle and drive the process to completion.
  3. Coordinate with engineering teams to incorporate changes identified during the peer review cycle.
  4. Format engineering drawings per best industry CAD practices.
  5. Review Bills of Material (BOMs) for accuracy against engineering drawings.

Skills

Required

  • Ability to read system level electrical schematics and parts lists and identify basic electronic components.
  • Use of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Forms, etc.).
  • Demonstrated attention to detail when creating technical documentation.

Nice to have

  • Use of Microsoft Visio or other CAD software tools.
