Boeing is seeking a Nondestructive Testing/Inspection (NDT) Technician to join their Quality Organization in Berkeley, MO. The role involves conducting NDT on aerospace products using methods like ultrasonic, eddy current, radiographic, magnetic particle, and liquid penetrant. Responsibilities include completing training, performing setups for test equipment, documenting procedures, analyzing data, and documenting results. What you'd actually do

  1. Completes structured training programs to gain knowledge of NDT methods, including but not limited to UT, ET, RT, MT, PT.
  2. Performs setup for specialized non-destructive test or measurement equipment to controlled standards.
  3. Assists in the documentation of procedures for setting up test equipment.
  4. Analyzes routine test, inspection or statistical data to determine product and processes conformity.
  5. Assists with standard corrective action recommendations.

Skills

Required

  • Served at least 180 continuous days on active duty
  • Within 12 months of separation or retirement from the military
  • Able to start 180 days prior to separation or retirement from active duty
  • Active Secret Clearance or higher is required
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Formalized NDT Training and experience including an equivalent Level II Certification in a minimum of one or more of the following methods: UT, RT, MT, PT or ET
  • More than 1 year of experience working with tools or machinery from vocational courses, shop environments, or military experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

Nice to have

  • Level 3: More than 3 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • More than 1 year of experience determining, applying, and performing arithmetic operations in order to solve complex math problems. This includes the ability to extract relevant information from tables, charts, graphs, text, spot relevant trends in data, and create and document models that can be used by others
  • Knowledge of aircraft or vehicle maintenance
  • Technical/Vocational education in a related field
