Northrop Grumman is offering a SkillBridge internship program for transitioning service members, providing fellowship-style job skills training in a Project Manager role within Systems Security Engineering. The program aims to transition service members into full-time roles by offering on-the-job training, professional development, and exposure to company leadership and core responsibilities. The role requires a Secret security clearance and involves managing working groups, tracking project schedules and budgets, liaising with customers, and executing Statement of Work requirements.

What you'd actually do

  1. Oversee and manage the several Working Groups and Technical Interchange Meetings that SSE is responsible for.
  2. Assist SSE CAMs in capturing project schedule and budget status.
  3. Regularly liaison with the Customer counterparts concerning select SSE activities.
  4. Execute completion Statement of Work requirements, Program Milestone Exit Criteria, and program maturity commitments.
  5. Support MDT and the organization as a whole with other duties as assigned.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related experience; master's degree and 3 years’ experience; PhD and 1 years’ experience or an additional 4 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • U.S. citizen
  • active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance
  • At least 1 years of experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule.
  • Demonstrated track record/ experience in project management/ execution and closeout?
  • Skilled use of Microsoft Office Products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Project Management principles
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to establish a solid working relationship with technical staff, peers, and customers
  • Experience planning, scheduling, and managing projects with many different stakeholders.
  • Experience developing content, packaging, and briefing communication

Nice to have

  • Active Top-Secret Clearance.
  • Experience working with and understanding Systems Security Engineering principles applicable to US Government Defense Programs and/or US Military Programs.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.

  • Must be a U.S citizen and have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope,(<6yrs) with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
