Visa is seeking an Analyst for its Consulting & Analytics (VCA) team in Japan. The role involves delivering consulting engagements for key clients, focusing on strategy and new business development in acquiring and merchant sectors. Responsibilities include client interaction, data analysis, developing presentations, supporting senior consultants, and collaborating with data science and other teams. The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, client management experience, and ideally, experience in payments or retail banking.

What you'd actually do

  1. Support a team of experienced professionals in delivering strategic consulting services to key Visa clients.
  2. Develop a fact base by undertaking client interviews and analyzing client documentation or processes
  3. Analyze Visa and client data to benchmark client performance vs. industry averages to identify performance gaps and improvement opportunities
  4. Support the development of client-specific presentations by adapting templates for unique client scenarios and needs.
  5. Support senior consultants in developing and delivering high-quality advisory solutions to clients, such as business strategy, product development & pricing, customer segmentation and customer experience improvement.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree
  • 3-5 years of relevant working experience
  • Fluent Japanese and at least business level English proficiency
  • Experience and a track record of high performance in strategy or operation consulting or corporate strategy
  • Basic analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong team orientation with a collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible style
  • Detail orientation
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented individual with the ability to progress multiple priorities concurrently
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Experience in developing business cases with proven ROI
