NVIDIA is seeking a SOC Design Methodologies engineer with hardware design and methodology expertise to develop and deploy in-house tools and workflows for engineering business units. The role involves owning tools for common design blocks, acting as a DevOps engineer for RTL automation, and collaborating with RTL and library engineers. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, at least 2 years of relevant experience, understanding of digital design concepts, proficiency in Verilog and Python scripting, and experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting and Makefiles.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop and deploy in-house tools and workflows to support engineering business units across NVIDIA.
  2. Take ownership of tools that generate common design blocks used in all products, such as auxiliary RTL logic for design-for-test, safety/resiliency, and power-saving logic.
  3. Act as a "DevOps" engineer for RTL automation by developing new features and maintaining efficient operations for existing users.
  4. Collaborate with front-end RTL designers and back-end library engineers to provide daily technical support.
  5. Build new workflows and methodologies to ensure smooth integration into various IP development environments.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 2 years relevant working experience.
  • Understanding of fundamental digital design concepts and experience in Verilog.
  • Proficient in software engineering, including Python scripting.
  • Experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting and Makefiles.
  • Ability to collaborate with many groups and communicate technical details.

Nice to have

  • Experience in verification is a plus.
  • Background with memory circuit design is a plus.
  • Experience with Perl scripting is a plus.
