Soc Power Management Firmware Developer

Intel Intel · Semiconductors · Bangalore, India

This role focuses on architecting, designing, developing, and validating power management firmware (pCode) for IPs and SoCs. It involves developing power management features and algorithms, collaborating on silicon architecture, and performing functional verification. The role also includes power and performance analysis, optimization, and providing recommendations for future power management architectures. While the core is firmware development, there's a mention of potentially researching AI applications to improve performance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Architect, design, develop, and validate power management pCode for IPs and SoCs.
  2. Develops and implements power management features and algorithms to manage the SoC and platform with clear partitioning on firmware and hardware.
  3. Develop IP Unit models and definition of verification infrastructure and related TFMs needed for power management verification.
  4. Conducts power and performance analysis and optimization to meet postsilicon performance goals until product PRQ/PRT, working in collaboration with PnP teams.
  5. Provide recommendations for future power management architectures.
