Soc Power Thermal Performance Val and Opt Engineer (temporary Position)

Intel Intel · Semiconductors · Guadalajara, Mexico

This role is for a pre-silicon power and performance engineer responsible for validating new and existing features for Intel's next-generation CPU products. The engineer will develop validation strategies, create test content, debug issues, and report results using simulation and emulation environments, focusing on power-performance correlation.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop validation strategies, plans and methodologies, teaming up with designers, architects, manufacturing and pre-silicon teams and other cross functional organizations.
  2. Develop and enable test content to meet pre-silicon power-performance validation requirements as well as automation software and platform level tools for debug.
  3. Execute validation plans, perform debug to root cause issues, and enable robust design fixes.
  4. Use simulation and emulation test environments to produce test results.
  5. Report test results, including product risk/health assessment from a power and performance standpoint.
