Soc Security and Virtualization Validation Engineer

AMD AMD · Semiconductors · Austin, TX · Engineering

AMD is seeking a Security IP and Virtualization Validation Engineer to join their datacenter CPU and AI post-silicon validation team. The role involves developing and executing test plans for security and virtualization features in next-generation AMD Instinct GPUs, creating test content, developing post-silicon validation infrastructure, and collaborating with cross-functional teams for root cause analysis of platform issues. Requires strong programming skills (C/C++, Python), post-silicon lab experience, and knowledge of server SOC architecture.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop and execute feature enablement and validation test plans for SoC- and system-level SoC features across all AMD Server products in Virtualization and Security features
  2. Develop test content for both focus testing as well as system level stress testing of OS Virtualization plus cross product stress testing
  3. Exposure to functionally validating, regressing, executing and debugging issues seen during the enablement and cross product validation
  4. Develop post-silicon validation infrastructure (software, hardware, automation environment, and lab setup)
  5. Enhance post-silicon validation infrastructure such as automation environment, validation configuration checking, automated test log analysis, etc.
