OpenAI is seeking a Social Marketing Manager for Korea to build and lead their social presence. This role involves developing and executing social marketing strategies, managing day-to-day publishing, creating locally resonant content, and partnering with various teams to bring OpenAI's work to life in Korea. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in social marketing, a strong understanding of the Korean digital and cultural landscape, and a builder mindset.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead the development and execution of Korea’s social marketing strategy across priority platforms (e.g., YouTube, Instagram, Threads, LinkedIn, Kakao), covering both consumer and business audiences.
  2. Set up and scale social channels and systems from the ground up where needed, including Kakao-based distribution and platform-specific workflows.
  3. Operate as a hands-on social lead, managing day-to-day publishing, editorial planning, copywriting, and rapid response—especially around launches and key moments.
  4. Translate global priorities, product launches, and brand narratives into locally resonant social storytelling that reflects Korea’s cultural context.
  5. Lead high-visibility moments including product announcements, research updates, and company news—ensuring accuracy, quality, and alignment across teams.
