Software Configuration Analyst responsible for enforcing and maintaining Software Configuration Management (SCM) processes, supporting configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of software products. The role involves integrating development pipelines with automation, test-driven development, and CI/CD frameworks, as well as administering SCM tools and facilitating control board meetings.

What you'd actually do

  1. Coordinate and generate configured builds for test and delivery.
  2. Communicate issues and risks pertaining to issues, solutions, and releases.
  3. Administration of the Software CM tools (including installation, upgrades, and maintenance).
  4. Facilitate and scribe for control board meetings, creating build and delivery documentation, and process improvement activities.
  5. Establish and implement procedures to coordinate changes to program data and products.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree and 8 years of relevant experience; 6 years with a Master's; 4 years with a PhD. An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI
  • Experience with Linux
  • Experience with Jira, Jenkins and Git/Version Control Software
  • Experience working with Docker containers
  • Ability to identify the needs to build automation, designing and implementing CI/CD solutions
  • Ability to express technical information clearly at different organizational levels
  • Experience in software configuration management
  • Experience with coordinating/creating configured builds for test and delivery

  • Demonstrated ability to track and record change control items (CR, MR, PR) and maintain comprehensive change control logs
  • Ability to produce and maintain configuration status reports for audit reviews and release gate checkpoints
  • Experience implementing document numbering schemes, revision tracking, and approval workflow processes
  • Knowledge of periodic document review practices, including retirement of obsolete documents and archiving historic versions
  • Providing day-to-day developer support: branch creation, merge conflict resolution, and access provisioning
  • Creating traceability matrices and compiling evidence of compliance to support internal and external audits
