Software Dev Engineer II , Global Transportation Tech Services (gtts)

Amazon Amazon · Big Tech · IN, TS, Hyderabad · Software Development

Software Development Engineer II for Global Transportation Tech Services (GTTS) at Amazon, focusing on building and managing the software platform for Amazon's outbound transportation network. The role involves designing network capacity, predicting gaps, responding to disruptions, and developing new greenfield products. It utilizes AWS services, big data processing, optimization algorithms, machine learning models, and GenAI. The position requires operating at all levels, providing strategic inputs, driving project execution, and talent development.

What you'd actually do

  1. We build the platform that transportation teams use to design and change the network - from evaluating new lanes to putting them live.
  2. We calculate how much capacity each node and lane will have, so the network can handle the volume.
  3. We identify where capacity will fall short and alert operators before it becomes a problem.
  4. We spot packages at risk of missing delivery and give operators tools to protect them.
  5. When a hurricane hits Florida or a snowstorm shuts down highways in the Midwest, our systems detect the disruption, protect customers by adjusting delivery promises, and help move volume to keep packages flowing.
