As Director of Software Engineering in the Datacenter Software & Automation organization within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), you will provide strategic leadership to multiple engineering teams—and their managers—responsible for developing robust software solutions that enable the rapid, reliable delivery of OCI’s global datacenter infrastructure. - Organizational Leadership: Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing engineering organization, ensuring the professional growth of individual contributors, managers, and senior managers.
- Architecture & Delivery: Oversee software architecture, development, debugging, and enhancement activities in line with provided design specifications and business requirements. Advocate for and drive improvements within existing architectures, guiding your teams in delivering resilient and scalable solutions.
- Strategy & Roadmap: Define and execute the technology roadmap and operational strategies for datacenter automation, ensuring alignment with OCI’s priorities and evolving industry trends—especially as they relate to AI and cloud-scale operations.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Serve as a key liaison between software engineering, product, datacenter operations, and support teams; orchestrate internal and external resources to deliver successful project outcomes..
- Performance Management: Set clear, measurable goals at all organizational levels; monitor progress and hold teams accountable for achieving key deliverables.
- Strategic Communication: Articulate forward-looking plans, strategies, and project outcomes to executive leadership and stakeholders, ensuring widespread understanding, support, and alignment.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $169,800 to $355,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

- Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
