Software Development Engineer (SDE) to build and operate large-scale, distributed systems that power AWS EngSec services. This role includes supporting AI/ML workloads, including Large Language Model (LLM) applications, and will own critical systems end-to-end, from architecture and implementation through deployment and operations. The solutions will reduce the effort to deliver secure results, speed up and simplify security activities like code scanning and compliance analysis, and collect data about security to help AWS leaders make informed decisions.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design, build, and maintain reliable, scalable infrastructure that leverages AI to deliver faster, more resilient services to customers.
  2. Develop automation tools and frameworks to eliminate manual operational work
  3. Support AI/ML applications
  4. Own the operational health of services, including monitoring, alerting, and incident response
  5. Collaborate with security and ML teams to improve system architecture and operational excellence

Skills

Required

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle
  • Experience in Linux systems administration and/or development
  • AWS certification
  • 3+ years of site reliability engineering (SRE), systems engineering, systems administration, DevOps, security administration, or network administration experience
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes
