Software Development Engineer II role focused on building and maintaining critical services for the Cart, Checkout, and payment processing for Amazon's fashion subsidiaries (Shopbop and Zappos).   1. build, provision, and test a variety of API's and services with a heavy lean towards server-side work
  2. provide feedback on teammate's submitted CRs
  3. provide an update on your overall project, report what you’re picking up today, and point out to a teammate that they should connect with a stakeholder to unblock themselves
  4. push code to production
  5. discussing the teams initiatives to reduce technical debt, calling out some process improvements you believe would be helpful in stopping it from emerging in the first place and ensuring they are filed correctly to be evaluated for next sprint

Skills

Required

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Nice to have

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Experience creating processes and improving tools that have measurably improved productivity, quality, or advertiser experience
  • Ability to recognize opportunities where generative AI could enhance products, workflows, or customer experiences.
