Software Development Manager, Alexa Shopping-core

Amazon Amazon · Big Tech · Seattle, WA · Software Development

Software Development Manager to lead a team building an intelligence framework for Alexa Shopping, focusing on agentic systems and AI-driven quality control. This is a 0->1 opportunity to set technical direction and architectural decisions for AI-powered shopping experiences.

What you'd actually do

  1. lead a high-performing engineering team in building an intelligence framework that defines and enforces the quality bar for everything Alexa Shopping ships
  2. make the foundational architectural calls and set the technical direction the rest of the org builds against
  3. own the capability all of them depend on — which means your decisions compound across the entire org
  4. Success looks like a system that lets teams ship faster and safer, replacing manual judgment with AI-driven intelligence at the right gate
  5. work at the intersection of agentic systems, machine learning, and e-commerce, partnering with engineers, applied scientists, and product leaders across Alexa
