Software Development Manager for Amazon Ads' Sponsored Products and Brands team, focusing on leveraging generative AI and ML to revolutionize advertising experiences. What you'd actually do

  1. Directly manage and lead a team of Software Development Engineers and Machine Learning Engineers.
  2. Develop engineering roadmaps and drive engineering executions for SPB Off-Search ads retrieval with Machine Learning (ML) and GenAI solutions, lead hardware and operational annual planning, to enable multi-surface, placement, and theme monetization and to deliver more relevant, engaged, and personalized ad and shopping experiences on Amazon Stores.
  3. Foster cross-team collaborations with applied science teams and page experience teams in Off-Search and SPB to define and deliver customer-focused solutions.
  4. Hire and develop top talent, provide technical and career development guidance to team members within and across the organization.

Skills

Required

  • 3+ years of engineering team management experience
  • 8+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience
  • Experience debugging, profiling, and implementing best software engineering practices in large-scale systems, or experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields

Nice to have

  • Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
  • Experience building large-scale machine learning models and infrastructure for online recommendation, ads ranking, personalization, or search
  • Master's degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields
  • Strong track record of delivering complex initiatives end-to-end including planning, designing, execution, and operation.
