This role leads an engineering team focused on building an intelligent promotion platform for Amazon's Subscribe & Save business. The team will develop ML models for personalized promotions, create tools for selling partners, and integrate with GenAI surfaces. The role emphasizes people leadership, technical depth, and shipping innovative features at scale.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead a full two-pizza engineering team that's transforming how promotions work for everyday essentials at scale.
  2. You'll be tackling genuinely hard problems: How do you build ML models that predict when customers need to reorder? How do you create promotion tools that prevent gaming and abuse while still delighting legitimate customers? How do you design systems that enable multiple promotion types to work together seamlessly without breaking the economics?
  3. Your team will own the full stack—from distributed big-data pipelines and ML models that personalize promotions based on consumption patterns, to intelligent tools that help selling partners optimize their promotional strategies, to the customer-facing experiences that surface the right discount at exactly the right moment in their shopping journey.
  4. You'll partner with Selling Partner Promotions (SPP), Promotions Platform, Everyday Essentials Sciences, Stores Economics and Science (SEAS), Selling Partner Services, and numerous other teams that impact the customer and seller journey on Amazon.
  5. You'll be responsible for understanding each engineer's growth aspirations and creating opportunities that help them achieve their career goals.
