Senior Software Development Manager for Oracle's OCI Compute Control Plane team, focusing on scaling services, delivering critical features for compute instances, and supporting new hardware platforms. The role involves setting strategic vision, defining roadmaps, executing delivery, cultivating high standards, and growing the team, with specific focus areas in cloud expansion and Compute CI/CD automation.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing engineering organization, ensuring the professional growth of engineers.
  2. Oversee software architecture, development, debugging, and enhancement activities in line with design specifications and business requirements. Advocate for and drive improvements within existing architectures, guiding your team in delivering resilient, automated, and scalable solutions. Set clear, measurable goals; monitor progress and hold teams accountable for achieving key deliverables at high quality.
  3. Define and execute the technology roadmap and operational strategies for compute developer efficiency and AI intiatives, ensuring alignment with OCI’s priorities.
  4. Build and maintain operational support structure for your services, including on-call rotations. Lead operational incidents to resolution as necessary. Deliver post-mortem analysis for operational incidents and drive necessary improvements in process and services to improve availability as a result.
  5. Articulate forward-looking plans, strategies, and project outcomes to leadership and stakeholders, ensuring widespread understanding, support, and alignment.

Skills

Required

  • 10 years engineering experience
