Software Development Team Manager

Autodesk is seeking a Software Engineering Team Manager to lead cross-functional scrum teams focused on extending and enhancing software like Autodesk Revit and cloud services. The role requires experience in agile software development, cloud services, and team leadership, with a focus on servant leadership, self-organization, and continuous improvement.

What you'd actually do

  1. Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture that values continuous improvement and iteration
  2. Support and coach your team members to achieve excellence in their roles as software engineers and quality assurance engineers
  3. Establish clear and engaging goals for individuals and for the team to help drive excellence and accountability
  4. Identify opportunities for individuals to grow within their role, including opportunities for training, challenging assignments, and new collaboration
  5. Engage the team members in understanding product strategy and organizational objectives and relating it to the team’s day to day work

Skills

Required

  • 10+ years of experience working on software development teams
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English
  • 5+ years of formal or informal leadership experience
  • Ability to operate effectively and independently in a dynamic, fluid environment
  • Excellent communication skills

Nice to have

  • Experience with agile software development principles and processes
  • Experience with the development of cloud services, including best practices and incident management
  • Proven track record driving engineering innovation and improvements
  • Experience in a multicultural and geographically distributed team environment
  • Proficiency with modern software development or testing tools and frameworks
