Software Engineer role focused on implementing and enhancing SAP Finance solutions, supporting enterprise finance processes. Requires programming skills in SAP ABAP and experience with SAP S/4HANA and Central Finance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Support IT‑enabled operational business processes in Accounting & Finance, with primary responsibility for Region 2 and active involvement in global, enterprise‑wide implementations across John Deere.
  2. Develop, code, configure, and test solutions and enhancements in SAP-based Finance applications to deliver end‑to‑end functionality.
  3. Evaluate, design, and implement SAP application enhancements to improve cost, quality, and performance of Finance software applications.
  4. Work using agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and collaborate closely within the Scrum team—including Developers, Delivery Lead, Scrum Master and Product Owner to define new development and enhancement requirements in Finance.
  5. Create professional documentation in English.

Skills

Required

  • Hands-on programming skills (preferably SAP ABAP)
  • Experience delivering technical changes end-to-end (develop/coding, configuration, and testing)
  • Basic knowledge of SAP-based Accounting & Finance processes
  • Basic knowledge and initial experience with agile ways of working (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)
  • Good knowledge of creating technical specifications
  • Strong command of English, both written and spoken
  • 2–3 years of professional experience
