Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain high-quality Android components and server components for Pixel apps end to end, ensuring a premium user experience.
- Partner closely with AI/ML teams to integrate AI/ML capabilities into native apps.
- Work with PM, UX, QA and other cross functional partners to define requirements and design engineering solutions to user problems.
- Collaborate with partners across Google to integrate app experiences into the broader Android ecosystem.
- Deeply understand AI/ML capabilities, and help design applications at the edge of model capabilities to enable user goals, and operate at the cutting edge of agentic engineering to develop products.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Kotlin, C++, Python).
- 1 year of experience with data structures or algorithms.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
- Experience in native Android application development (using Kotlin and/or Java).
- Experience with mobile development workflows, including testing frameworks, and performance analysis.
- Experience integrating AI/ML into user-facing applications.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional, collaborative team environments.
