Software Engineer role focused on building AI-native experiences for Pixel apps, integrating Gemini and agentic engineering principles into the Android ecosystem. The role involves end-to-end development of both Android and server components, with a strong emphasis on partnering with AI/ML teams to leverage cutting-edge model capabilities and create personalized, innovative user experiences.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design, build, and maintain high-quality Android components and server components for Pixel apps end to end, ensuring a premium user experience.
  2. Partner closely with AI/ML teams to integrate AI/ML capabilities into native apps.
  3. Work with PM, UX, QA and other cross functional partners to define requirements and design engineering solutions to user problems.
  4. Collaborate with partners across Google to integrate app experiences into the broader Android ecosystem.
  5. Deeply understand AI/ML capabilities, and help design applications at the edge of model capabilities to enable user goals, and operate at the cutting edge of agentic engineering to develop products.
