Software Engineer, Content Safety, Core

Google Google · Big Tech · Singapore

Software Engineer role focused on building and maintaining content safety applications using AI/ML techniques. The role involves developing validation gates, routing logic, and agentic flows for autonomous safety agent pipelines, integrating generative AI tools and LLMs, and ensuring deterministic and compliant execution. This is an engineering role focused on applying AI to ensure user safety within Google's products.

What you'd actually do

  1. Write and maintain high-quality, readable, and well-tested code for on-device and server-side content safety applications.
  2. Develop and test validation gates, routing logic, and tool-use schemas to ensure deterministic and compliant execution within our autonomous safety agent pipelines.
  3. Contribute to implementing and maintaining both stateless and stateful agentic flows, supporting multi-step AI orchestration pipelines that interact with Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), databases, and external tools to automate safety decisions.
  4. Support the team in delivering on commitments to clients, ensuring robust and performant solutions to user protection challenges.
  5. Collaborate closely with mentors and executive engineers to learn Google’s development processes, design patterns, and system architectures.
