Software Engineer, Creator Translation

Roblox is seeking a Software Engineer for their Creator Translation team. The role involves building scalable systems for content translation across various media types (text, images, audio, meshes) to enhance user experience and safety on the platform. The engineer will tackle full-stack problems, own product verticals, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Familiarity with machine learning is a plus.

What you'd actually do

  1. Tackle and solve challenging full-stack problems that touch the client, game engine, backend services and machine learning models autonomously.
  2. Own product verticals and projects from implementation plan, execution, launch, and quick iteration based on feedback.
  3. Work closely with product, design, and partner teams to maintain high execution quality and pace.
  4. Proactively gather community feedback and respond swiftly to their needs, ensuring our products evolve to deliver exceptional value.

Skills

Required

  • 1+ years of industry experience
  • designed and led implementation on highly scalable and reliable distributed backend systems
  • understanding of or hands-on experience in microservices
  • Proficient in one or more programming languages (C#, C++, Go, Python or similar programming language)

Nice to have

  • Deep understanding of C++
