Software Engineer II on the Developer Platform Team, responsible for building and enhancing internal systems to improve developer velocity, reliability, and reduce operational friction. This role focuses on shared engineering foundations, CI/CD, build systems, and tooling, with an emphasis on applying AI-assisted engineering practices.

What you'd actually do

  1. Build and enhance internal systems to accelerate local development workflows, reduce CI wait times, minimize flaky test failures, and streamline service onboarding.
  2. Contribute to the Scala, Bazel, CI, and shared platform ecosystems to maintain scalable build configurations, clear dependency management, and reusable code patterns across repositories.
  3. Identify repetitive, manual processes and replace them with automated, self-service platform capabilities, debugging tools, and CI visibility.
  4. Enhance CI success rates, speed up failure diagnosis, and increase the resilience of shared engineering systems under scale.
  5. Apply AI-Assisted Engineering Practices: Leverage AI tools and agentic workflows thoughtfully to automate migrations, streamline testing, and establish guardrails for AI-assisted development.
  6. Partner closely with Product Engineering, Infrastructure, SRE, Security, and Quality Engineering to drive adoption of paved paths and improve overall developer experience.
