Software Engineer III

Walmart Walmart · Retail · Bangalore, KA, India

Software Engineer III role focused on building and integrating GenAI powered agents, workflows, and engineering tools within Walmart's E2E Testing, Data, Environment & Tools organization. The role involves developing backend services, REST APIs, and automation pipelines, with a strong emphasis on AI-driven engineering workflows, RAG, and agentic frameworks. The primary focus is on enhancing developer velocity and engineering efficiency through AI.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop, integrate, and optimize GenAI powered agents, workflows, and engineering tools that elevate productivity, accelerate defect detection, and streamline operational efficiency.
  2. Design, build, and scale resilient backend services, REST APIs, and automation pipelines engineered to operate reliably at Walmart’s global scale.
  3. Write high quality, performant code and own features through the full lifecycle—from design and development to QA, deployment, and production support.
  4. Embed telemetry, monitoring, observability, and CI/CD excellence into engineering workflows to strengthen reliability and accelerate delivery.
  5. Research, evaluate, and adopt emerging technologies to modernize existing solutions and unlock new engineering capabilities.
