As a software engineer, you will work on projects critical to Google Threat Intelligence ecosystem needs. We need our engineers to be versatile, enthusiastic, and capable of taking technical ownership of new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward to give an edge to the good guys.

Responsibilities
- Design and implement complex features for medium-to-large projects, managing priorities, deadlines, and deliverables independently.
- Research, design, and implement AI-driven solutions leveraging large language models for various security-related use cases.
- Architect and deploy autonomous and semi-autonomous AI agents capable of performing complex tasks, such as automated malware analysis, threat hunting, or incident response support.
- Own the entire lifecycle of AI-powered features, from ideation and prototyping to production deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and contribute to the team's engineering standards and best practices.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with Vertex AI and AI Platform.
- 2 years of experience with software development in Python or Go, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
- 1 year of experience with one or more of the following: Speech/audio (e.g., technology duplicating and responding to the human voice), reinforcement learning (e.g., sequential decision making), ML infrastructure, or specialization in another ML field.
- 1 year of experience with ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, optimization, data processing, debugging).
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
- 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Experience developing accessible technologies.
- Experience in the cybersecurity domain, particularly with malware analysis, threat hunting, or digital risk protection.
