At Google Cloud Storage (GCS) Demand Intelligence and Quotas (IQ), we are building systems to be source of truth of all GCS bandwidth demand and support initiatives for friction less customer experience around quotas management. Our team is leading a major investment to transform how GCS plans for the future and protects itself at scale.
We are also expanding our core Demand Engine, engineering it to accurately forecast all the GCS usage needs and become the single source of truth for efficient supply planning. We will accomplish this by creating mechanisms that model demand with a variety of advanced forecasting algorithms.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Write product or system development code.
- Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
- Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
- Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
- Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience developing applications using C++ or Python.
- 2 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products
- 2 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
- 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Experience developing accessible technologies.
