What you'll do...

Our team works closely with our US stores and eCommerce business to better serve customers by empowering team members, stores, and merchants with technological innovation. From groceries and entertainment to sporting goods and crafts, Walmart U.S. offers an extensive selection that our customers value, whether they shop online at Walmart.com, through one of our mobile apps, or in-store. Focus areas include customers, stores and employees, in-store service, merchant tools, merchant data science, and search and personalisation.
What you'll do:
- You are responsible for coding, unit testing, building high performance and scalable applications that meet the needs of millions of Walmart-International customers, in the areas of supply chain management & Customer experience.
- You are expected to be more intellectually curious engineer who is passionate about domain/technology in general.
- Responsible for writing automated tests to ensure that the software
- functions as expected and also debug / fix any issues or bugs that arise during the testing phase.
- Collaborate with quality assurance engineers to ensure the software
- Support Oncall activities and Ensure Opex is within threshold .
- Meets quality standards and have ability to handle smooth production deployments.
What you'll bring:
- 4-6 years of experience, with at least 3 years focused on Backend engineering platform development.
- Proficient in Rust , Node and Graphql technologies with a minimum of 2 years hands-on experience, adept at building distributed systems and large-scale applications.
- Demonstrated expertise in Rust .
- Solid understanding of service-oriented architecture, microservices, design patterns, and distributed/cloud computing concepts.
- Exposure to cloud infrastructure, such as Open Stack, Azure, GCP, or AWS
- Proficient in automated unit testing and managing infrastructure deployment.
- CI/CD development environments/tools: Git, Maven, Jenkins.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative team player.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
