Software Engineer role at a defense technology company focused on building full-stack software solutions for intelligence community customers. What you'd actually do

  1. Design, develop, and deploy robust full-stack software solutions, spanning front-end user interfaces (e.g., with React/Angular) to resilient back-end services and optimized database interactions (e.g., SQL Server)
  2. Proactively maintain, update, and refactor existing mission-critical software systems to ensure longevity and performance
  3. Actively contribute to software development for critical tasks as needed to meet deadlines
  4. Adhere to software best practices and coding standards, review peer code, interact with version control, maintain build processes, and perform testing
  5. Perform rapid issue triage and in-depth root cause analysis to diagnose and resolve complex system failures in production environments

Skills

Required

  • 1-3 years of experience in full-stack software development
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related STEM field, or equivalent industry experience
  • Proven ability to quickly onboard, understand, and contribute effectively to large, complex existing codebases and systems
  • Currently possesses and is able to maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance

Nice to have

  • Experience working in C#, Typescript/Javascript, or Java.
  • Direct experience with SQL Server, including schema design, query optimization, and stored procedures.
  • Experience with frontend frameworks (React, Angular).
  • Experience in DevOps (CI/CD, containerization, sharding).
  • Exposure to AI/ML concepts, libraries, or experience integrating AI/ML capabilities into software applications.
