Software Engineer for Chime's MyPay product, focusing on designing and building backend services for real-time money movement, underwriting, and financial transactions. What you'd actually do

  1. Independently own and deliver features end-to-end
  2. Design, develop, test, refactor and scale backend implementations of new and existing consumer product features
  3. Work with the mobile team to design and build strong, resilient APIs that power the member facing mobile app
  4. Collaborate with cross functional teams to understand member pain points and come up with solutions
  5. Proactively identify opportunities for improving the reliability and scalability of our systems

Skills

Required

  • 3+ years developing software in a production environment at scale
  • Experience designing APIs
  • working with transactional databases
  • caching systems
  • An appreciation of maintainable and well-tested code
  • Collaborative spirit and strong communication skills
  • experience working cross-functionally
  • Product mindset with a strong bias toward experimentation, iteration, and measuring impact
