Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of innovative software engineering solutions that strategically address core business objectives and elevate the Pixel experience.
- Take deep pride and active ownership of your code, development processes, and the final product to ensure the highest standards of delivery.
- Guarantee product excellence, technical robustness, and optimal system performance across all your initiatives.
- Apply and advocate for engineering best practices, including robust functional and performance testing, instrumentation, and data-driven experimentation.
- Partner closely with global teams across Google to integrate features, tune performance, and share technical insights. Play a pivotal role in propelling the team toward our long-term strategic goals, particularly in adopting and scaling our AI-powered quality infrastructure.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++, etc.).
- 1 year of experience with full-stack or mobile Android development.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
- Experience with Generative AI, large language models (LLMs), especially in the development of AI agents or agentic frameworks.
- Experience with building automation system, or testing infrastructure.
- Ability to lead and drive projects and ramp up and learn quickly in a technically complex domain.
- Ability to collaborate well both within and outside the team.
- Strong mobile software engineering practice with strong domain knowledge with Android and Android development process.
