Google is seeking a Software Engineering Manager for their Automotive AI Agent team in Zurich, Switzerland. This role involves leading a team to architect and deploy a Gemini-native platform for AI-defined vehicles, focusing on LLM-native orchestration, bidirectional streaming, and omnichannel SDKs. The manager will drive production reliability, partner with OEMs to translate requirements like multi-agent orchestration, and use a data-driven approach to improve driver experience. The role requires strong experience in managing software engineering teams, distributed systems, cloud APIs, and AI/ML technologies, particularly LLMs.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead a team of engineers to architect and deploy the Gemini first platform, shifting towards Large Language Models (LLM)-native orchestration and bidirectional streaming capabilities.
  2. Drive production reliability and stability initiatives to ensure reliability, low latency, and hermetic deployment environments for real-world automotive use.
  3. Lead the development of omnichannel SDKs (including Android, iOS, and embedded) to support seamless experiences across the vehicle and companion apps.
  4. Partner with product and OEMs to translate requirements such as multi-agent orchestration and offline/online arbitration into production-ready software.
  5. Employ a data-driven approach to instrument metrics and improve the quality of the driver experience.
