This role is for a Software Engineering Manager in Google's BigQuery Analytics AI organization, focusing on building agentic solutions and developer experiences for the data lifecycle. The manager will lead a team in designing and developing next-generation agentic solutions, including agents, skills, and tools for data ingestion, pipelines, feature extraction, and model training. Key responsibilities include developing the technical roadmap, collaborating cross-functionally, and iterating on agentic frameworks with sophisticated tool-use, memory, context retrieval, multi-step orchestration, and evaluation at scale. The role requires experience in Generative AI, Agentic Technologies, and people management, with a focus on building AI-native data journeys and AI-accelerated developer experiences.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design and develop next-generation agentic solutions and data developer experiences such as data ingestion, data pipelines, data science, feature extraction, model training, and more.
  2. Develop and maintain the technical roadmap of the team’s charter.
  3. Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Data Scientists, Applied Scientists, and UX Designers and cross-teams to define the roadmap for AI-native data journeys.
  4. Iterate and enhance agentic frameworks by contributing to sophisticated tool-use, memory, context retrieval, multi-step orchestration, and evaluation (evals) to ensure accuracy and reliability of orchestration at petabyte scale.
  5. Lead the team on defining and executing on goal and long-term strategy.
