Software Engineering Pmts

Salesforce Salesforce · Enterprise · San Francisco, CA

Salesforce is seeking a Software Engineering PMTS (Principal Member of Technical Staff) to join their new Trusted Services Lite (TS Lite) engineering team. This role is focused on building an AI-first product for SMB customers, leveraging AI assistants for various development tasks and building internal tooling and agents to automate engineering work. The candidate will lead technical design, end-to-end delivery, and drive cross-team alignment, with a strong emphasis on using AI tools throughout the development lifecycle. Requires 10+ years of experience, including 3+ in a leadership role, and hands-on experience with agentic coding environments.

What you'd actually do

  1. Work closely with Product Management to align and steer cross-functional architectural decisions.
  2. Lead the technical design and end-to-end delivery of features, from architecture to production operation.
  3. Drive cross-team alignment with partners on capacity, retention, scale, and performance boundaries.
  4. Define how TS Lite cleanly coexists with existing products: licensing, permission gating, upgrade and downgrade flows, and graceful evolution into the full Trusted Services suite.
  5. Use AI tools throughout your day, for code generation, refactoring, test authoring, code review, and investigation. We expect AI use to be part of how the work gets done, not an afterthought, and we look to senior engineers to model what great AI-assisted engineering looks like.
