Salesforce is seeking a Senior Member of Technical Staff (SMTS) to lead and contribute to their next-generation Cybersecurity Data Platform. This role involves the technical design and hands-on implementation of a scalable platform for critical security data flows, including data ingestion, processing, storage, APIs, and analytics. The position requires expertise in distributed systems, SaaS environments, and cloud-native architectures, with a focus on building a multi-tenant SaaS product. While the core focus is on data platform engineering, there's an opportunity to incorporate AI/ML for advanced risk assessment and automated remediation.

What you'd actually do

  1. Architect and implement the technical roadmap for the Security Data Platform, ensuring it meets long-term scalability and security requirements.
  2. Drive the technical design for evolving the platform into a multi-tenant SaaS product capable of serving global customers.
  3. Lead the hands-on development of scalable, secure, and reliable platform capabilities using Apache Spark, AWS S3, and streaming/batch pipelines.
  4. Design and build self-service onboarding tools for data producers and high-performance APIs for data consumers.
  5. Partner with data producers to architect high-quality data ingestion patterns, resolving complex structural inconsistencies at the source.
