Software Integration Systems Engineer for P-8A Advanced Airborne Sensor (AAS) Training Systems Integration and Test team. Responsibilities include software integration, troubleshooting, script development, data processing, and system defect documentation. Requires a Bachelor's degree, 5+ years of experience, Linux OS experience, and IAT Level II certification. Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Integration of locally developed software with the training devices.
  2. Integration and troubleshooting of software from outside entities, requiring external support for configuration and troubleshooting.
  3. Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems to find root cause and collaborate with the functional teams to find resolutions.
  4. Develop and maintain scripts used to install, integrate, and configure software products.
  5. Perform data processing of flight data to extract data products for use in the electronic classroom.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • DoD 8570 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA)
  • 5+ years' related work experience or an equivalent amount of education and experience
  • 2+ years of experience with Linux Operating Systems.
  • 3+ years of experience and competency in troubleshooting, analysis and problem-solving strategies involving software integration and testing.
  • Willing and able to travel up to 25% of the time domestically for remote installations.
  • active U.S. Secret Security Clearance

Nice to have

  • 2+ years of administrator experience with Windows and/or Windows Server operating systems
  • 2+ years of experience with IBM DOORS
  • 2+ years of experience with GitLab
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Familiarity with the P-8A training devices - Weapon Tactics Trainer, Scenario Generation Station, Electronic Classroom, Brief/Debrief Station.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as: Bash, PowerShell, Python.
  • Experience working with Agile tools (Jira).
  • Active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance.
