Software QA Engineer role at Autodesk focusing on ensuring the quality and reliability of technologies that bridge the physical and digital worlds. What you'd actually do

  1. Own test planning and execution for major features and workflows.
  2. Design clear, comprehensive test cases aligned with product requirements.
  3. Perform functional, regression, integration, performance and system-level testing.
  4. Conduct exploratory and scenario-based testing focused on real-world workflows.
  5. Validate usability, workflow consistency, and overall user experience.

What the JD emphasized

  • 4–6+ years of experience in software QA or test engineering.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience testing complex desktop and/or web applications.
  • Strong understanding of functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (C#, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript preferred).
  • Experience with a UI test automations tools (like QT Squish or similar).
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Experience with Git and tools such as Jira.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English.
