This role provides technical support and maintenance for computer vision systems within Amazon's fulfillment network. It involves troubleshooting, software deployment, developing operational tools, and automating processes to ensure system uptime and efficiency. While the systems use computer vision, the role itself is focused on support and engineering operations rather than core AI/ML model development or research.

What you'd actually do

  1. Provide resolution support of incoming tickets, including extensive troubleshooting tasks, with responsibilities covering multiple systems, features and services.
  2. Work on operations and maintenance driven tasks including coding where needed.
  3. Software deployment support in staging and production environments across multiple systems including some Tier-1 systems.
  4. Develop tools to aid operations and maintenance
  5. Work with engineering team for taking over active issues and creating a team specific knowledge base and skill set.

Skills

Required

  • 2+ years of software development, or 2+ years of technical support experience
  • Experience scripting in modern program languages
  • Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
  • Experience in software development

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of web services, distributed systems, and web application development
  • Experience troubleshooting & maintaining hardware & software RAID
  • Experience with REST web services, XML, JSON
