**What will you do? **
As a Software Test Engineer you will perform implementation, regular problem solving, maintenance and support for a agile software development and you will also be:
- Writing and executing test scripts
- Running manual and automated tests
- Testing in different environments including web and mobile
- Writing bug reports
- Providing quality assurance
- Providing objective feedback to software development project teams
- Troubleshooting and problem solving
- Designing tests to mitigating risk
This position works directly with Slovakia based engineering leadership and Caterpillar IT in the US.
**What you have: **
- Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
- Software Development Life Cycle: Knowledge of software development life cycle; ability to use a structured methodology for delivering and managing new or enhanced software products to the marketplace.
- Software Product Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of technical aspects of a software products; ability to design, configure and integrate technical aspects of software products.
- Software Product Testing: Knowledge of software product testing; ability to design, plan, and execute testing strategies and tactics to ensure software product quality and adherence to stated requirements.
- System Testing: Knowledge of system and software testing; ability to design, plan and execute system testing strategies and tactics to ensure the quality of software at all stages of the system life cycle.
**Top Candidates will also have: **
- Experience with Test Strategy for Experience Cloud (functional, regression, security)
- Drives automation where possible (Playwright experience a plus)
- Identify & determine risks and readiness early & communication
- Partners well with Tech BA, development and leadership to shift quality left
- Salesforce Platform/Experience Cloud Knowledge plus Salesforce Loyalty Management Platfrorm
- Experience with Azure DevOps or alternative tool.
- Formal education in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Solid experience with software testing & quality assurance.
- Experience with FE & BE/API testing
