Manager of Solution Engineering for Snowflake's Retail & Consumer Goods sector, leading a team to provide value-based evaluation scenarios (demos, labs, POCs). This role partners with sales to understand enterprise customer needs, strategize sales cycles, and close business. It involves team leadership, go-to-market strategy, customer feedback escalation, and acting as a player/coach for presentations.

What you'd actually do

  1. Build and lead a team of solution engineers who serve as our core product introduction, evaluation and education experts
  2. Partner with sales leadership to achieve regional quota targets, our goals and ensure relationships are built
  3. Work alongside revenue leaders to set the go-to-market strategy for territory
  4. Effectively escalate customer feedback and product obstacles/gaps to represent the team’s needs to executive staff
  5. Interpret complex problems, create simple solutions and collaborate closely with prospects, channel partners and our sales team to deliver winning solutions

Skills

Required

  • 8+ years of industry experience in a pre-sales or engineering capacity
  • 2+ years of direct front line management experience (hiring, training and retaining top talent)
  • Industry expertise within Data Warehousing, Data Engineering, Data Science, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics and/or Cloud Computing
  • Outstanding presenting skills to both technical and executive audiences
  • Ability to connect a customer’s specific mission problems and Snowflake’s solutions
