Solutions Architect role at MongoDB, focusing on guiding customers in designing and building scalable systems using MongoDB's data platform. What you'd actually do

  1. Design and Architect: Design scalable and performant applications, systems and infrastructure for large software project
  2. Customer Advisory and Value Delivery: Guide customers on MongoDB's architecture patterns and optimization strategies, and clearly communicate business value to relevant stakeholders
  3. Sales Collaboration: Own the technical aspects of the sales process, including technical discovery, demos, value validation, and presentations
  4. Demand Generation: Participate in industry events and customer-based marketing events to generate demand through technical initiatives
  5. Customer Success: Build strong customer relationships, cultivate customer champions, and ensure success and satisfaction

Skills

Required

  • 5-8 years of related industry experience
  • 2 years of enterprise software pre-sales experience
  • 2 years of experience with modern scripting languages (e.g. Python, Node.js, SQL) and/or popular programming languages (e.g. C/C++, Java, C#)
  • Experience implementing scalable and highly available distributed systems in the cloud and on-prem
  • Ability to work with customers to review complex architecture of existing applications, providing guidance on how to improve by leveraging technology
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to convey complex technical and business concepts in a clear and compelling manner to technology and business leadership
  • Ability to work with a cross functional sales team to formulate and execute an end to end deal cycle
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Fluent English proficiency
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

  • Experience developing, deploying, or supporting applications with any of the major cloud providers
  • Experience working in a technical pre-sales capacity
