Solutions Architect - Modeling & Simulation (defense)

Applied Intuition Applied Intuition · Robotics · Detroit, MI · Application Engineering

Solutions Architect for a defense tech company, focusing on modeling and simulation. The role involves designing solution architectures, translating technical capabilities for government customers, and providing technical feedback to engineering. Requires deep understanding of DoD technical environments and a security clearance. AI/ML is mentioned as a technical breadth area but not the core focus.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design bespoke solution architectures, integration concepts, and Concept of Operations (CONOPS) for specific DoD pursuits.
  2. Translate complex software capabilities into mission-relevant narratives for government engineers, SETAs, and technical evaluation teams.
  3. Act as the technical engine for the BD team, providing the substance for white papers, capability briefs, and RFI/RFP technical volumes.
  4. Lead technical customer engagements, including deep-dive architecture reviews and product demonstrations.
  5. Serve as the primary liaison between Growth and Engineering/Product teams to ensure capture strategies align with our roadmap.
