Solutions Engineer, Upmarket (pre-sales) - Emea (german Speaking)

This role is a Solutions Engineer focused on pre-sales technical discussions with enterprise customers in EMEA. The primary responsibility is to ensure technical fit and create solutions using Vanta's product, working closely with the sales team. The role involves understanding product capabilities, providing market feedback, supporting trials, and building resources. It requires strong customer-facing technical experience, cloud platform knowledge, project management skills, and creativity. While Vanta is in the security/compliance space, this specific role is not directly building or researching AI/ML models.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own the technical relationship with our commercial prospects/customers
  2. Develop a deep understanding of our product capabilities, integrations, configurations messaging, partner ecosystem, and competitive landscape.
  3. Listen carefully to prospects and clients to provide market feedback to the product team and help prioritise functionality needed to drive sales opportunities
  4. Support customers thought their trial process with Vanta
  5. Build product examples, documentation, and other critical resources for our customers

Skills

Required

  • customer-facing technical experience
  • B2B SaaS experience
  • hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure)
  • Operating Systems (Windows, MacOS, Linux) and cloud application architecture
  • project management skills
  • scripting language (Python, Ruby, Bash, and JavaScript)
  • REST API development and service integrations

Nice to have

  • prior experience in the cybersecurity space
