The Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the hardware infrastructure underlying the growth of Microsoft's Cloud business, including AI. The Sourcing Manager role focuses on data analysis, reporting, and process improvement within the supply chain for this infrastructure. Responsibilities include collecting, cleaning, and analyzing data using tools like Excel and Power BI, developing data models, creating visualizations and dashboards, identifying opportunities for automation, and supporting supply chain initiatives. The role also involves project management aspects like tracking component qualification progress and managing purchase orders.

What you'd actually do

  1. Collect, organize, and cleanse large volume of raw data from various sources, ensuring data quality and accuracy.
  2. Design and build visualizations, dashboards, and reports to effectively communicate insights to stakeholders.
  3. Identify opportunities for process automation and optimization to improve efficiency and accuracy in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  4. Work closely with engineering, project managers and business users to support data migration and other supply chain initiatives.
  5. Purchase orders operations and budget tracking to ensure spending within budget.

Skills

Required

  • Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Materials Science, or related field AND 1+ year(s) experience in procurement, supply chain, sourcing, engineering, operations, or relevant sales-related roles OR Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Materials Science, or related field AND 2+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, sourcing, engineering, operations, or relevant sales-related roles OR equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment while effectively managing competing priorities and driving results.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) or experienced in Power BI.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and automation in programming language such as Python, R, JavaScript.
  • Experience in using SQL to query data.
  • Knowledge of operation research and optimization models such as linear programming is a plus.
  • Proficient knowledge of electronics (PCBA’s) manufacturing processes and logistics.
