The Sourcing Specialist is responsible for sourcing and negotiating the supply of various materials and services, with a primary focus on direct materials such as packaging, tooling, equipment, and associated spare parts and installation services. The role involves executing global category sourcing strategy, managing vendors, and achieving key performance indicators for the procurement business. It requires strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills within a matrix environment.

What you'd actually do

  1. Supplier and Supply Market Analysis - to conduct a detailed supplier and supply market analysis looking at facts and data analysis with the objective of providing deep and meaningful insight to Sourcing Management teams.
  2. Cost Modeling – support the execution of detailed cost models/purchase price analysis of goods and services that are supplied to our company; this may include stakeholders and supplier visits to support the creation of the complete understanding of the cost structure.
  3. Negotiation Planning and Execution- support the creation of detailed pre-negotiation plans with the Sourcing Teams. Support negotiation sessions with suppliers and post negotiation debriefs and follow through plans.
  4. Sourcing – support the execution of RFIs and RFPs together with subsequent structured information analysis.
  5. Risk Management– Execute required supplier compliance assessments and risk management tools, including development and implementation of strategies to ensure compliant supply and third party management
